Crime continues to drop in Houston County.

I just received our 2014 TBI Crime Stats through June 30th and we are on pace for another record LOW year in reported crime, also we have a 61.90% solve rate which is one of the highest of all our surrounding counties and in our district.
I am very proud of my staff for all of their hard work and dedication to making our community a safe place to live.

The Houston County Sheriff's Office welcomes Deputy Cory Lowery to patrol. Deputy Lowery completed the 10 week Police Academy and graduated from the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy in May. 

15th Anuual Kids Day Fishing Rodeo

Sheriff Darrell Allison and his staff along with TWRA hosted the 15th Annual Kids Day Fishing Rodeo Saturday June 7, 2014. There was a huge turnout with over 120 kids. Sheriff Allison has hosted the event now for 15 years. Several local businesses donate to the event every year. Sheriff Allison makes sure that very chilld gets a prize. This year all the prizes were purchased at Academy Sports in Clarksville. The prizes ranged from a swimming pool to fishing poles. There are also prizes for biggest fish, smallest fish, biggest turtle.

15th Annual Fishing Rodeo June 7, 2014

The 15th annual fishing rodeo will be held in Danville on June 7, 2014. Registration will be from 8am to 9am. Fishing begins at 9am to 11am. There will lots of prizes, drinks, food. This event is free and sponsored by Sheriff Darrell Allison and the TWRA.

2nd Annual Dodge Ball Tournament "Sheriff vs Fuse"

Our 2nd Annual Dodge Ball tournament against the ECN Fuse kids was an awesome success. More than 100 Fuse kids showed up. The Sheriff and his staff played around 15 games of Dodge Ball. The Sheriff's Office was invited by ECN in 2013 to help create a positive bond between Police Officers and our youth. Sheriff Allison and the staff at ECN look forward to continuing this annual event.
