The Houston County Sheriff's Office is a full time law enforcement agency that serves the citizens of Houston County. Sheriff Darrell Allison is committed to providing all citizens with the highest quality of service in an effective and efficient manner. Our most fundamental duty is to protect and serve, to ensure a safe environment for all residents and visitors of Houston County. We will always strive to perform this duty to the best of our ability and never lose sight of our responsibilities. Our staff will serve the citizens of Houston County with the highest level of professionalism and integrity. We will achieve our goals through Dedication, Honor, continued education and training and most importantly maintaining a trustworthy and professional relationship with the citizens of Houston County.

125 Students Sign Prom Promise Pledge

Students at Houston County High School signed a pledge agreement today Along With Sheriff Darrell Allison and principle Mrs. Jolly. Students listened to several speakers including Bella Dennis, Garrett Parker, Kasey Gant, Kathy Kilgore Beeler, Jim Bower and Phadera Owens. Several speakers told their story on how alcohol and drugs has tragically effected their lives. There were many sponsors to the program. With donations the Sheriff's Office was able to purchase several door prizes which included a 32" LED flat screen TV ad an IPAD Air.

PROM PROMISE 2014

Houston County Sheriff's Office is hosting a "Prom Promise" pledge event this year. This event will be held on March 28, 2014 from 08:30am to 11:30am at Houston County High School. All students that are attending prom this year may attend. This program is designed to help bring awareness to our youth in the dangers of drinking and driving and riding with someone who has been drinking. We will have several door prizes for those students who sign the pledge. Prizes include a LED TV, IPAD air, Tablet, and Visa gift cards. Those students who sign the pledge will receive a bracelet.

Two suspects charged with Armed Robbery of Lucky's Market

On 02-14-14 at 3:43pm an Armed Robbery was reported at Lucky’s Market located at 15034 Hwy 49 East. Responding units from the Sheriffs Office secured the scene and began a detailed investigation by interviewing the victim and potential witn...esses along with a methodic collection of evidence and search of the immediate area. Prior to leaving the scene two persons of interest had been developed.
